Maine Tourism wanted to profile the people of the state who make it such a special place to visit.

Chef Cara Stadler is redefining what a restaurant can be. From building a rooftop aquaponics greenhouse to pushing for fair wages and paid time off for all…and all this while being nominated for a few James Beard Awards.

Not your standard chef profile, we leaned into Cara’s unique POV and let her true voice take the stage. And her advice? “Don’t start a restaurant..it’s a terrible idea.” Noted. But we will still eat where-ever she is cooking and you should too.
